On Miscarriage & Resilience
The second child in as many years left my body unexpectedly this last week. This time, when I realized I was miscarrying, I spent time thinking about what I wanted this experience to be like. Or rather, who I wanted to be in this experience. How I wanted to show up to it.

Why give yourself permission to let the belly release when your entire culture is screaming at you to look thin? Why set aside so much of what you've learned when you've gotten by on its tenets?
A Blessing For Your Body
I used to see illness as a failure of the body, but in answering my son, I kept coming back to the fact that his (and my) sickness was the way our bodies were taking care of us.

Your whole body-mind health and resilience is wildly intertwined with healthy psoas muscles. This simple practice is revolutionary and can be life-changing.
Open Your Hips, Open Your Heart
After a few minutes of hip opening stretches, what had previously felt like rage now seemed practically innocuous. I was seeing red, flooded with bitterness and self-righteousness. I hated the world.
